Tilt the front pnel towrds you nd remove the front pnel. 5

6 4 Instlltion 4.1. To open the switch ox cover of the indoor unit Lift the unit. 4. Mounting the indoor unit 4..1 To instll the indoor unit CAUTION Do NOT grsp the piping to lift the indoor unit. 1 Lift the unit from the pckge. 1 60kg 5 Tilt the top of the unit ginst the wll t the position of the inserted screws. 6 Hook the unit ginst the wll. Remove the 4 screws from the ottom of the unit. Unhook nd remove the side pltes. 1 7 Assemle the unit Put the instlltion pttern (see pcking) on the wll nd follow the steps s shown elow. 6

7 1 4.4 Connecting the wter piping To connect the wter piping NOTICE 4 Instlltion Do NOT use excessive force when connecting the piping. Deformtion of the piping cn cuse mlfunctioning of the unit. To fcilitte service nd mintennce, shut-off vlves re provided. Mount the vlves on the wter inlet nd on the wter outlet. Mind their position: the integrted drin vlves will only drin the side of the circuit on which they re locted. To e le to only drin the unit, mke sure the drin vlves re positioned etween the shut off vlves nd the unit. 1 Instll the shut-off vlves on the wter pipes To instll the drin pn kit If drin pn kit (EKHBDPCA) is required, instll it efore connecting the refrigernt nd wter pipes nd the electricl wiring. To instll, see the instlltion mnul of the drin pn kit. 4.3 Connecting the refrigernt piping See the outdoor unit instlltion mnul for ll guidelines, specifictions nd instlltion instructions To connect the refrigernt piping to the indoor unit 1 Connect the liquid stop vlve from the outdoor unit to the refrigernt liquid connection of the indoor unit. Wter inlet Wter outlet Screw the indoor unit nuts on the shut-off vlves. 3 Connect the field piping on the shut-off vlves. 4 In cse of connection with the optionl domestic hot wter tnk, see the instlltion mnul of the domestic hot wter tnk. NOTICE Instll ir purge vlves t ll locl high points To fill the wter circuit 1 Connect the wter supply hose to the drin nd fill vlve. Refrigernt liquid connection Refrigernt gs connection Connect the gs stop vlve from the outdoor unit to the refrigernt gs connection of the indoor unit. Open the drin nd fill vlve. 3 Mke sure tht the utomtic ir purge vlve is open (t lest turns). 4 Fill the circuit with wter until the mnometer indictes pressure of ±.0 r. 5 Purge s much ir s possile from the wter circuit. For instructions, see "6 Commissioning" on pge Close the drin nd fill vlve. 7 Disconnect the wter supply hose from the drin nd fill vlve. 7

8 4 Instlltion To fill the domestic hot wter tnk For instlltion instructions, see the instlltion mnul of the domestic hot wter tnk To insulte the wter piping The piping in the complete wter circuit MUST e insulted to prevent condenstion during cooling opertion nd reduction of the heting nd cooling cpcity. If the temperture is higher thn 30 C nd the humidity is higher thn RH 80%, the thickness of the insultion mterils should e t lest 0 mm to prevent condenstion on the surfce of the insultion To connect the electricl wiring on the indoor unit 1 To open the indoor unit, see "4.1.1 To open the indoor unit" on pge 5. Wiring should enter the unit from the ottom. 3 Routing of the wiring inside the unit should e s follows: c 4.5 Connecting the electricl wiring DANGER: RISK OF ELECTROCUTION WARNING ALWAYS use multicore cle for power supply cles Aout electricl complince See "4.5.4 To connect the ckup heter power supply" on pge 9. When instlling field supply or option cles, foresee sufficient cle length. This will mke it possile to remove/ reposition the switch ox nd gin ccess to other components during service. 13 5 Configurtion 4.6 Finishing the indoor unit instlltion To fix the user interfce cover to the indoor unit 1 Mke sure tht the front pnel is removed from the indoor unit. See "4.1.1 To open the indoor unit" on pge 5. Plug the user interfce cover into the hinges. When the instller settings re chnged, the user interfce will request to confirm. 19 6 Commissioning 6 Commissioning NOTICE NEVER operte the unit without thermistors nd/or pressure sensors/switches. Burning of the compressor might result. 6.1 Checklist efore commissioning Do NOT operte the system efore the following checks re OK: You red the complete instlltion instructions, s descried in the instller reference guide. The indoor unit is properly mounted. The outdoor unit is properly mounted. The following field wiring hs een crried out ccording to this document nd the pplicle legisltion: Between the locl supply pnel nd the outdoor unit Between indoor unit nd outdoor unit Between the locl supply pnel nd the indoor unit Between the indoor unit nd the vlves (if pplicle) Between the indoor unit nd the room thermostt (if pplicle) Between the indoor unit nd the domestic hot wter tnk (if pplicle) Between the gs oiler nd the locl supply pnel (only pplicle in cse of hyrid system) The system is properly erthed nd the erth terminls re tightened. The fuses or loclly instlled protection devices re instlled ccording to this document, nd hve not een ypssed. The power supply voltge mtches the voltge on the identifiction lel of the unit. There re NO loose connections or dmged electricl components in the switch ox. There re NO dmged components or squeezed pipes on the inside of the indoor nd outdoor units. Depending on the ckup heter type, ckup heter circuit reker F1B on the switch ox is turned ON. Only for tnks with uilt-in ooster heter: The ooster heter circuit reker FB on the switch ox is turned ON. There re NO refrigernt leks. The refrigernt pipes (gs nd liquid) re thermlly insulted. The correct pipe size is instlled nd the pipes re properly insulted. There is NO wter lek inside the indoor unit. The shut-off vlves re properly instlled nd fully open. The stop vlves (gs nd liquid) on the outdoor unit re fully open. The ir purge vlve is open (t lest turns). The pressure relief vlve purges wter when opened. The minimum wter volume is gurnteed in ll conditions. See "To check the wter volume" in "3. Prepring wter piping" on pge 4. The softwre is equipped with n "instller-on-site" mode ([4 0E]), tht disles utomtic opertion y the unit. At first instlltion, setting [4 0E] is y defult set to "1", mening utomtic opertion is disled. All protective functions re then disled. If the user interfce home pges re off, the unit will NOT operte utomticlly. To enle utomtic opertion nd the protective functions, set [4 0E] to "0". 36 hours fter the first power-on, the unit will utomticlly set [4 0E] to "0", ending "instller-on-site" mode nd enling the protective functions. If fter first instlltion the instller returns to the site, the instller hs to set [4 0E] to "1" mnully. 6. Checklist during commissioning The minimum flow rte during ckup heter/defrost opertion is gurnteed in ll conditions. See "To check the wter volume nd flow rte" in "3. Prepring wter piping" on pge 4. To perform n ir purge. To perform test run. To perform n ctutor test run. Underfloor screed dryout function The underfloor screed dryout function is strted (if necessry) To check the minimum flow rte 1 Confirm ccording to the hydrulic configurtion which spce heting loops cn e closed due to mechnicl, electronic, or other vlves. Close ll spce heting loops tht cn e closed (see previous step). 3 Strt the pump test run opertion (see "6..4 To perform n ctutor test run" on pge 0). 4 Go to [6.1.8]: > Informtion > Sensor informtion > Flow rte to check the flow rte.
