Instlltion site requirements of the indoor unit The indoor unit is designed for indoor instlltion only nd for the following mbient tempertures: Spce heting opertion: 5~30 C Spce cooling opertion: 5~35 C Domestic hot wter production: 5~35 C Mind the following spcing instlltion guidelines: 4

5 3 Preprtion If the totl refrigernt chrge in the system is <.84 kg (i.e. if the piping length is <7 m), there re no dditionl minimum floor re requirements. If the totl refrigernt chrge in the system is.84 kg (i.e. if the piping length is 7 m), you need to comply with dditionl minimum floor re requirements s described in the following flow chrt. The flow chrt uses the following tbles: "8.3 Tble Mximum refrigernt chrge llowed in room: indoor unit" on pge 7, "8.4 Tble Minimum floor re: indoor unit" on pge 7 nd "8.5 Tble 3 Minimum venting opening re for nturl ventiltion: indoor unit" on pge 7. Multiple indoor units. If two or more indoor units re instlled in room, you must consider the mximum refrigernt chrge tht cn be relesed in the room when SINGLE lek occurs. Exmple: If two indoor units re instlled in the room, ech with its own outdoor unit, then you hve to consider the refrigernt chrge of the lrgest indoor-outdoor combintion. Unit cn be instlled t room A if: ventiltion openings (permnently open) re provided between room A nd B, t the top nd t the bottom. Bottom opening: The bottom opening must meet the minimum re requirements (VA min ). It must be s close s possible to the floor nd lower thn H. If the ventiltion opening strts from the floor, the height must be 0 mm. The bottom of the opening must be situted 00 mm from the floor. At lest 50% of the required opening re must be situted <00 mm from the floor. The entire re of the opening must be situted <300 mm from the floor. Top opening: The re of the top opening must be lrger thn or equl to the bottom opening. The bottom of the top opening must be situted t lest.5 m bove the top of the bottom opening. Ventiltion openings to the outside re NOT considered suitble ventiltion openings (the user cn block them when it is cold). 5

6 4 Instlltion 3. Prepring wter piping In cse of plstic pipes, mke sure they re fully oxygen diffusion tight ccording to DIN 476. The diffusion of oxygen into the piping cn led to excessive corrosion. Vlve towrds expnsion vessel. The vlve towrds the expnsion vessel (if equipped) MUST be open. 3.. To check the wter volume nd flow rte Minimum wter volume Check tht the totl wter volume in the instlltion is minimum 0 litres, the internl wter volume of the indoor unit NOT included. When circultion in ech spce heting/cooling loop is controlled by remotely controlled vlves, it is importnt tht the minimum wter volume is gurnteed, even if ll of the vlves re closed. Minimum flow rte Check tht the minimum flow rte in the instlltion is gurnteed in ll conditions. This minimum flow rte is required during defrost/ bckup heter opertion. For this purpose, use the overpressure bypss vlve delivered with the unit, nd respect the minimum wter volume. When circultion in ech or certin spce heting loops is controlled by remotely controlled vlves, it is importnt tht the minimum flow rte is gurnteed, even if ll vlves re closed. In cse the minimum flow rte cnnot be reched, flow error 7H will be generted (no heting or opertion). See the instller reference guide for more informtion. If you remove the user interfce pnel, lso disconnect the cbles from the bck of the pnel to prevent dmge If you hve to do work behind the switch box, open the switch box. 4. If you do NOT configure the system correctly, it might NOT work s expected. The configurtion influences the following: The clcultions of the softwre Wht you cn see on nd do with the user interfce How You cn configure the system vi the user interfce. First time Configurtion wizrd. When you turn ON the user interfce for the first time (vi the indoor unit), the configurtion wizrd strts to help you configure the system. Restrt the configurtion wizrd. If the system is lredy configured, you cn restrt the configurtion wizrd. To restrt the configurtion wizrd, go to Instller settings > Configurtion wizrd. To ccess Instller settings, see "5.. To ccess the most used commnds" on pge 3. Afterwrds. If necessry, you cn mke chnges to the configurtion in the menu structure or the overview settings. When the configurtion wizrd is finished, the user interfce will show n overview screen nd request to confirm. When confirmed, the system will restrt nd the home screen will be displyed. When the het pump fils to operte, the bckup heter nd/or booster heter cn serve s n emergency heter nd either utomticlly or non-utomticlly tke over the het lod. When uto emergency is set to Automtic nd het pump filure occurs, the bckup heter will utomticlly tke over the het lod, nd the booster heter in the optionl tnk will utomticlly tke over the domestic hot wter production. When uto emergency is set to Mnul nd het pump filure occurs, the domestic hot wter nd spce heting opertion will stop nd need to be recovered mnully vi the user interfce. To recover opertion mnully, go to the Mlfunctioning min menu screen, where the user interfce will then sk you to confirm whether the bckup heter nd/or booster heter cn tke over the het lod or not. Emergency We recommend to set Emergency to Automtic if the house is unttended for longer periods. [9.5] N/A 0: Mnul : Automtic The uto emergency setting cn be set in the menu structure of the user interfce only. If [4 03]= or 3, then Emergency=Mnul is not pplicble for the booster heter.
