Applications in GSM-R network Czech Railways and GSM-R implementation Useful Applications for Czech Railways: GSM-R network in the Czech Republic has been equipped with GPRS and SMS system in the year 2009. It is the condition for the use of the following applications. Applications planned in the future: Active shutdown Remote diagnostics GPS position Engine-driver identification General stop Measure Electric power These applications were successfully tested in the public GSM network. Now we are able to perform the GSM-R tests.
