TASTE THE CZECH REPUBLIC Round trip with gastronomic and cultural theme MORAVIA ROUND TRIP 1st Day - Prague Arrival to Václav Havel airport in Prague. Transfer to the hotel in private car. Meeting with tour leader. Accommodation. 2nd Day - Prague Breakfast. Transfer to the Prague Castle. We enter the Prague Castle complex - national historic landmark and the seat of the President of the Republic. The tour will make you admire the grandeur of Saint Vitus Cathedral, the ancient architecture of the Old Royal Palace and the golden line [entrance included]. En-route, we learn the origins of one of the best preserved medieval cities in the world. In continuation a walking tour through the cobbled streets of the Old Town and the Jewish Quarter. Our tour includes the gothic Týn Church, picturesque Ungelt, St. Jacob s Church - where kings weddings took place, Carolinum - the oldest University in Central Europe, the Klementinum, the stunning Art Nouveau Municipal House, the Powder Gate and the Estates Theatre, where Mozart performed his famous opera Don Giovanni in 1787. We see the famous Old Town Hall with even more famous astronomical clock, the Charles Bridge decorated by multiple statues, the famous Infant Jesus in Prague situated in Church of Our Lady Victorious. The tour includes lunch in typical Czech restaurant. Accommodation. 3rd Day - Prague - Kutná Hora - Litomyšl - Olomouc Breakfast. Departure to Kutná Hora, city which owes its origin and rich culture to its silver mines. Their existence can be traced back to the beginning of the 13th century. The city was second only to Prague as the most important town in Bohemia, having become the favorite temporary residence of several Czech kings as well as the mint for the Prague Penny ( Groš ). Kutná Hora was declared a world heritage, and since 1995 has been protected by UNESCO. The tour takes us to the most important buildings and places the St. Barbora s Church, the Sedlec Cathedral and the Ossuary (Bone House) [entrance]. A lunch in local restaurant. Departure to Litomyšl, a painteresque city with history traceable to tenth century. The Litomyšl castle/chateau is also a part of UNESCO heritage list. Departure to Olomouc. Accommodation.
4th Day - Olomouc - Loštice - Bouzov - Olomouc Breakfast. Departure to Bouzov - a romantic castle, which takes us into our own fairytale dreams about princesses, brave knights and dragons [entry]. Departure to Loštice. In Loštice we visit a local factory of famous and traditional local cheese "Olomoucké tvarůžky". The production of the cheese can be traced to 1583 and the museum we visit [entry] leaves us amazed with the uniqueness of the cheese. Departure to Olomouc, lunch. Sightseeing tour of Olomouc - a city with great historic value and a residence of a historical university. The city has been historically centre Moravian region and still has a major role in religious sense as it is a residence of archbishopric and a centre of Moravian orthodox church. Accommodation. 5th Day - Olomouc - Kroměříž - Brno Breakfast. Departure to Kroměříž, a city enlisted on UNESCO world heritage list. The tour leaves us amazed with its historic and romantic character. We visit the archbishopric gardens [entry], which are a part of a complex of archbishopric castle [entry], the residence of the bishops of Olomouc. Lunch. Departure to Brno. Accomodation.
6th Day - Brno - Lednice-Valtice - Mikulov/Pavlov - Brno Breakfast. Departure to Lednice-Valtice cultural landscape, a romantic area of parks, castles, ponds and gardens [entry]. The fascinating landscape belongs to UNESCO heritage list and presents a jewel of landscape architecture of unprecedented proportions. After visit of interiors of the Lednice Castle and walking visit of the landscape, we enter the National wine archive with degustation included [entry]. Lunch in a romantic winery " U KAPLIČKY "in ZAJEČÍ. Departure to Mikulov/Pavlov, area of vineyards, romantic wine cellars and local south Moravian culture. We entry one of the cellars to spend there a romantic evening and we taste a local wine. Afterwards return to Brno. Accommodation.
7th Day - Brno - Prague Breakfast. Sightseeing tour to Brno. The second biggest city in the Czech Republic and the capital of Moravian region presents itself as a modern city with beautiful historic features. The walking tour shows the Old Town, Zelný trh square, famous Town Hall with Dragon, Petrov quarter and Freedom square. Traditional and typical Czech lunch and departure to Prague. Free afternoon to say goodbye to the capital of the country. Accommodation. 8th Day - Prague Breakfast. Transfer to the Václav Havel airport in private car. End of our services.
