Nurse s Duties Being a nurse is a difficult job today. Unfortunately, it is still not well-paid, sometimes understimated. The job is physically and psychologically demanding. But still a lot of young people still want to be a nurse and go on their nursing mission.

Nurse s Duties The duties of a nurse are: to the patient, to the doctor, and to herself/himself. The most common duties of a nurse are: doing paperwork making beds washing patients administering meals and drinks administering medications, etc.
Duties to the Patient The most important duties of a nurse are to the patient. The nurse-patient relationship must be one of absolute trust. Care for the patient includes both the mental and physical welfare of the patient. Patients must receive professional care of the trained nurses.
Duties to the Patient The nurse must do everything in her power: to relieve a patient s pain to maintain his comfort to relieve his fear to help him recover The nurse must take care of patient s rest, adequate sleep, toilet, food and diet, and cleanliness.
Duties to the Doctor A nurse must be obedient to the doctor, carrying out his instructions correctly in every detail. To do this a nurse must understand the instructions given to her, and should never hesitate to ask for an explanation when an order is not clearly understood. A mistake may have disastrous consequences to the patient.
Duties to the Doctor The nurse should report to the doctor the following things: a) the temperature, pulse, and respiration b) any action of the bowel, nature and composition of the stool c) type and amount of urine passed d) amount and type of sleep

Duties to herself/himself A nurse has a lot of duties to herself. She must follow rules of personal hygiene. She must take care of her cleanliness, professional appearance uniform, hair, appropriate cosmetics, advoid drugs, alcohol, smoking, having enough rest and exercise. She must follow rules of personal hygiene.
Duties to herself/himself A nurse should take care of: a) cleanliness b) professional appearance - uniform, hair, appropriate cosmetics c) health food or diet d) avoiding harmful substances - drugs, alcohol, tobacco e) rest and exercise f) self-discipline
To be a nurse It is not easy to be a good nurse. The job is exciting, but also demanding. It is a bit different from other professions. The job allows to have the opportunity to help others and save people s lives, which can be very rewarding.
