Note: Companies which employ EU (European Union), EEA (European Economic Area), and EFTA (European Free Trade Association) citizens simply have the obligation to inform the relevant labour office in writing that they employ such citizens. This obligation relates to the commencement and termination of employment. Other foreigners (from so called third countries) can only be employed after being granted a work permit. A work permit is not required for foreigners with permanent nor for foreigners pursuant to 98, letters a) through e), j), and k) of Act No. 435/2004 Coll. on employment. These groups of foreigners form a new group in the CR labour market and are covered separately in this Bulletin. Data on of foreigners refer, unlike in previous years, to an actual place of in a particular territorial unit, and not to the territorial unit where such a permit has been issued. Project: Active selection of qualified foreign workers was quited. Last datas about participants of this pilot project are available in the bulletin No 26.
