SPECIFIC REGULATIONS 1. Rule All the races of European cyclo-cross championships 2013 are run under UCI regulations and under decisions, conditions and instructions of UEC. 2. Categories of riders European cyclo-cross championships 2013 is opened for these categories of riders: Men Juniors 1996-1997 Women Youth (17-22 years) 1992-1997 Women Elite (23 years and older) 1991 and older Men U23 1992-1995 3. UCI Individual classification According to Appendix 4 of UCI rules riders receive points into UCI cyclo-cross individual classification as follows: Men Juniors 30-20-15-12-10-8-5-4-2-1 (1 st -10 th place) Women Elite 100-60-40-30-25-20-17-15- 12-10-8-6-4-2-1 (1 st -15 th place) Men U23 100-60-40-30-25-20-17-15- 12-10-8-6-4-2-1 (1 st -15 th place) 4. Starting order The start order for all categories will be as follows: 1. As per the most recently published UCI cyclo-cross individual classification of the current season 2. Unclassified riders by nations rotation as follows: - For unclassified riders, the start order within the team must be confirmed by the national federations during riders confirmation - Taking each nation in turn on the basis of the classification by nation of the concerned category from the world championships of the previous season, a place shall be allocated to the next rider in sequence - Federations which do not appear in the classification by nation specified above shall, on the basis of the same rotation system, take the last places, in an order determined by drawing lots. 5. Allocation of start numbers Race numbers in sequence from 1 upwards are allocated to the national federation of the European Champion 2012 in the concerned category. Other numbers are allocated to national federations according to ranking of their best individual ranked rider in European championships 2012. 6. Allocation of boxes in pit area The pit boxes are allocated at the team managers meeting as follows: 1. Separately for each category on the basis of the most recently published UCI cyclo-cross classification by nation of the current season for the concerned category; 2. The allocation of boxes to teams that do not feature in the relevant classification shall be by drawing lots; 3. The team managers shall select their preferred box in the order thus determined. 7/9
7. Clothing All the riders must start in their national jerseys (art.1.3.059). The advertisements on jerseys have to be in conformity with art. 1.3.057 of UCI rules. Each team manager must present the national clothing (jersey and shorts or the national skinsuit) to the commissaires panel at the starter s confirmation and issuing of start numbers on 2.11.2013. 8. Bicycles Bicycles used for cyclo-cross races must comply with UCI rules. For the cyclo-cross bicycle the width of the tyre (measured between the widest parts) shall not exceed 33 mm and it may not incorporate any form of spike or stud (1.3.018) Using of disc brakes are allowed in cyclo-cross training and competition (1.3.025) 9. Prizes Winner of each race will receive the European champion jersey. Riders on 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd place will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medal. 10. Official ceremonies The first three classified riders shall be ready in time according to the time schedule for the official ceremony that will be held after each race in the finish area. Riders shall appear in racing attire, wearing their national jerseys but bare-headed and without headband or glasses, until they leave the official ceremony enclosure Riders will receive bouquet of flowers and medals. The winner of the race will clothe the European Champion jersey. 11. Anti-doping control Anti-doping will be carried out according to UCI rules.
