Materiál může sloužit jako názorná pomůcka doplňující výklad učitele, ale také je vhodná pro domácí přípravu žáků (např. zpřístupněním formou e-learningu). Materiál obsahuje zpětnou vazbu ověřující pochopení látky v podobě závěrečného snímku s otázkami k tématu. The Hospital There are a lot of different hospitals. The hospitals in the Czech republic are different from hospitals in English speaking countries. Generally, the hospital is divided into: the outpatient department the inpatient department
The Hospital The outpatient department is usually a separate building. The patients don t stay in there, they only come for examination or treatment. The inpatient department consists of many different departments and the patients stay in there.

The Hospital department An average hospital can have between 20 and 30 special depts. The hospital depts. include: internal dept. surgery dept. children s dept. dermatology dept. gynaecology dept.
The Hospital department neurology dept. orthopedic dept. cardiology dept., etc. Then there is always an emegrency department, maternity unit, X-ray dept., blood tranfusion unit, CT unit, plaster rooms and laboratories.
The Hospital department A department consists of rooms for patients, head nurse s office, nurses room, a treatment room, doctors room, bathrooms and showers, lavatories, etc. There is a day room where patients can have their meal, watch television or talk without disturbing other patients.

The Hospital department Bathrooms and lavatories have access for disabled patients. The doorways are wide enough to allow wheelchair patients to enter easily. The beds are arranged so that each patient can have a lot of privacy, natural light and fresh air.
The Hospital department The department can be divided into: clinical area patients room, treatment room, etc. domestic (storage) area the kitchen, equipment room, cleaners room, cloakrooms, etc.
Emergency department The important part of the hospital is the emergency department, where all emergencies are brought in. Most of the work done in this department is surgical. All of the important departments have an intensive care unit (ICU), where more serious cases are treated.

Other departments In a hospital there are also laboratories, a blood transfusion department, an X-ray department, a CT unit, plaster rooms for surgery emergency departments, etc. The head nurse s office is situated near the ward entrance. It is equipped for general administration. There is privacy to discuss the treatment of patients, to interview patients and relatives.
