Workshops 90 Workshops 1, 2 and 8 will be held in Czech, workshops 4 and 5 will held in English but translated into Czech, all other workshops will be in English language. WS 1: Úloha dětského specialisty v rodinné mediaci (Lenka Poláková, Ondřej Toth) Language: Annotation: Cílem WS bude sdílení dobré praxe se zapojením a rolí dětského specialisty přímo v mediaci s dítětem. Účastnící WS budou mít příležitost diskutovat, vyjasňovat a zkoušet možné podoby zapojení dítěte přímo v mediaci za přítomnosti specialisty na dítě. Významnou roli hraje také samotná aktivita mediátora, jak pracuje s dalšími účastníky mediace (dítě, specialista na dítě), jak využívá možnost vnášení "hlasu" dítěte do mediace, popř. co jsou možné limity. WS 2: Komunikace s dítětem techniky, metody, pomůcky (Ondřej Bouša, Michaela Trávníčková) Language: Annotation: Workshop účastníkům představí pomůcky a techniky, které psychologové a sociální pracovníci UMPOD využívají v komunikaci s dítětem, zejména při zjišťování názoru, přání a aktuálně prožívaných emocí, případně informování dítěte. Na workshopu má každý účastník možnost vyzkoušet si použití některých z prezentovaných z pomůcek a navázat tak kontakt s dítětem jinak než pouze verbálně. Dále bude mít možnost reflektovat svůj prožitek a diskutovat s přítomnými pracovníky UMPOD. Součástí workshopu bude také diskuze o možnostech a limitech práce s dítětem. 6/9
WS 3: Practical Approaches to implementing Child Inclusive Mediation in Diverse Contexts (Ann O Kelly) Language: Annotation: This workshop will take a hands-on approach to the practice of including children s and young people s (CYP) views during the process of their parents mediation. As well as discussing the now numerous models that are employed in various countries, participants will have an opportunity to discuss obstacles they have encountered to CYP participation. For this workshop, which will be interactive, attendees will be provide situations from their own practice that they have found challenging in advance of the workshop to ensure that participants needs in this area are met. WS 4: Building Strong and Lasting Collaborations (Janet Mueller) Language: translated into Annotation: Working in a field of conflict resolution often requires collaborating with other professionals and stakeholders. In this workshop, we will explore strategies to form, nurture, and build strong partnerships using Transformative Premises and Principles. We will discuss techniques to ensure collaborations will last and we will discover ways to collaborate and build synergy with partners. 7/9
WS 5: Making child inclusive mediation work for both children and parents (Adrienne Cox) Language: translated into Annotation: To explore this question, we need to consider: Different models of mediation is there a best practice model of CIM? Should we require consent of both parents? Should it be Court ordered? The potential risks to children of CIM to children can we be sure that children will be protected? The advantages and disadvantages of CIM to both children and their parents The importance of Standards in making CIM work WS 6: Child inclusive mediation with children with special needs (Lesley Allport) Language: Annotation: This is an interactive workshop which will explore ways in which mediators can adopt a child inclusive approach and ensure that the views of children and young people are heard and considered in decisions that affect their lives. We will consider the skills and strategies needed to understand the child or young person s perspective by working indirectly through the adult participants in mediation by meeting directly with children as part of the mediation process We will explore the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of children at various ages and consider ways in which to engage with children and young people in mediation and effectively bring their perspective to the discussion. 8/9
WS 7: Power in Mediation (Rachael Field) Language: Annotation: This interactive and discursive workshop focuses on the contentious and problematic issue of power in mediation. It will consider the following: What does power mean in the mediation context? What are the key issues associated with power, particularly power arising from a dynamic of domestic violence? How is power practically important in the mediation context, particularly where children are involved in mediation? Strategies for dealing with power appropriately. WS 8: Projektový den ve škole - představení peer mediace a peer mediátorů ostatním dětem, učitelům, zapojení rodičů (Jan Zouhar, Hana Kroupová) jednací jazyk: Anotace: Seznámení se záměry školy, která stojí o zavedení peer mediace a sdílení příkladů dobré praxe z konkrétní školy, která prostřednictvím projektového dne, připravila program pro děti tak, aby pochopily, k čemu by jim mediace mohla sloužit. Seznámení s konkrétními aktivitami a možnostmi, jak s dětmi pracovat. Jak připravit na mediaci rodiče? Praktická ukázka? Sdílení zkušeností s konkrétními aktivitami, na kterých se děti učily mediační dovednosti. Příklady výcvikových aktivit při práci s žáky při přípravě školních vrstevnických mediátorů. 9/9
