Wtch your fingers, there re shrp edges on the lower prt of the front plte. 1 ~e+i This unit is designed for opertion on temperture zones: underfloor heting in the min zone, this is the zone with the lowest wter temperture, rditors in the dditionl zone, this is the zone with the highest wter temperture. 4 3.1.1 Instlltion site requirements of the indoor unit h 4 The indoor unit is designed for indoor instlltion only nd for mient tempertures rnging from 5~35 C. To check the wter volume nd flow rte Minimum wter volume Check tht the totl wter volume in the instlltion is minimum 10 litre for EHVZ04+08 nd 0 litre for EHVZ16, the internl wter volume of the indoor unit NOT included. Do NOT split up the minimum wter volume over the temperture zones. It is sufficient to foresee the minimum wter volume on the min zone. In cse of underfloor heting, this is esily done y 1 floor heting loop tht never will e closed y (remotely) controlled vlve. It is NOT required to foresee the minimum wter volume on the dditionl zone. When circultion in ech spce heting/cooling loop is controlled y remotely controlled vlves, it is importnt tht the minimum wter volume is gurnteed, even if ll of the vlves re closed. 4
4 Instlltion Minimum flow rte Check tht the minimum flow rte (required during defrost/ckup heter opertion) in the instlltion is gurnteed in ll conditions on ech zone seprtely. When circultion in ech or certin spce heting loops is controlled y remotely controlled vlves, it is importnt tht the minimum flow rte is gurnteed, even if ll vlves re closed. In cse the minimum flow rte cnnot e reched, flow error 7H will e generted (no heting or opertion). See the instller reference guide for more informtion. Wtch your fingers, there re shrp edges on the lower prt of the front plte. 3 Slide the front pnel of the unit downwrds nd remove it. CAUTION The front pnel is hevy. Be creful NOT to jm your fingers when opening or closing the unit. 4 Loosen nd remove the 4 screws tht fix the top pnel. 5 Remove the top pnel from the unit. 5

Deformtion of the piping cn cuse mlfunctioning of the unit. Slide the indoor unit into position. 6 To fcilitte service nd mintennce, 4 shut-off vlves re provided. Mount the vlves on the spce heting wter inlet nd spce heting wter outlet. Mind their position: the integrted drin vlves will only

This unit is designed for opertion on temperture zones: underfloor heting in the min zone, this is the zone with the lowest wter temperture, rditors in the dditionl zone, this is the zone with the highest wter temperture. 1 Instll the shut-off vlves on the spce heting wter pipes. It is only possile for the system to hve EITHER preferentil kwh rte power supply OR sfety thermostt for the dditionl zone. 4.6 Finishing the indoor unit instlltion Fix the cle with cle ties to the cle tie mountings. Instlltion of sfety thermostt (field supply) is required for the min zone, otherwise the unit will NOT operte. 4.6.1 To fix the user interfce cover to the indoor unit 1 Mke sure tht the front pnel is removed from the indoor unit. See "4.1.1 To open the indoor unit" on pge 5. Plug the user interfce cover into the hinges. A sfety thermostt MUST e instlled on the min zone to void too high wter tempertures in this zone. The sfety thermostt is typiclly thermostticlly controlled vlve with norml closed contct. When the wter temperture in the min zone is too high, the contct will open nd the user interfce will show 8H 0 error. ONLY the min pump will stop. 5 Configurtion Why If you do NOT configure the system correctly, it might NOT work s expected. The configurtion influences the following: The clcultions of the softwre Wht you cn see on nd do with the user interfce How You cn configure the system vi the user interfce. First time Quick wizrd. When you turn ON the user interfce for the first time (vi the indoor unit), quick wizrd strts to help you configure the system. Afterwrds. If necessry, you cn mke chnges to the configurtion fterwrds. When the instller settings re chnged, the user interfce will request to confirm. When confirmed, the screen will shortly turn OFF nd "usy" will e displyed for severl seconds. 6 Commissioning 6 Commissioning NEVER operte the unit without thermistors nd/or pressure sensors/switches. Burning of the compressor might result. 6.1 Checklist efore commissioning Do NOT operte the system efore the following checks re OK: You red the complete instlltion instructions, s descried in the instller reference guide. The indoor unit is properly mounted. The outdoor unit is properly mounted. The following field wiring hs een crried out ccording to this document nd the pplicle legisltion: Between the locl supply pnel nd the outdoor unit Between indoor unit nd outdoor unit Between the locl supply pnel nd the indoor unit Between the indoor unit nd the vlves (if pplicle) Between the indoor unit nd the room thermostt (if pplicle) The system is properly erthed nd the erth terminls re tightened. The fuses or loclly instlled protection devices re instlled ccording to this document, nd hve NOT een ypssed. The power supply voltge mtches the voltge on the identifiction lel of the unit. There re NO loose connections or dmged electricl components in the switch ox. There re NO dmged components or squeezed pipes on the inside of the indoor nd outdoor units. Bckup heter circuit reker F1B on the switch ox is turned ON. There re NO refrigernt leks. The refrigernt pipes (gs nd liquid) re thermlly insulted. The correct pipe size is instlled nd the pipes re properly insulted. There is NO wter lek inside the indoor unit. The shut-off vlves re properly instlled nd fully open. The stop vlves (gs nd liquid) on the outdoor unit re fully open. The ir purge vlve is open (t lest turns). The pressure relief vlve purges wter when opened. The minimum wter volume is gurnteed in ll conditions. See "To check the wter volume" in "3. Prepring wter piping" on pge 4. The sfety thermostt is connected. The softwre is equipped with n "instller-on-site" mode ([4 0E]), tht disles utomtic opertion y the unit. At first instlltion, setting [4 0E] is y defult set to "1", mening utomtic opertion is disled. All protective functions re then disled. If the user interfce home pges re off, the unit will NOT operte utomticlly. To enle utomtic opertion nd the protective functions, set [4 0E] to "0". 36 hours fter the first power-on, the unit will utomticlly set [4 0E] to "0", ending "instller-on-site" mode nd enling the protective functions. If fter first instlltion the instller returns to the site, the instller hs to set [4 0E] to "1" mnully. 6. Checklist during commissioning The minimum flow rte during ckup heter/defrost opertion is gurnteed in ll conditions. See "To check the wter volume nd flow rte" in "3. Prepring wter piping" on pge 4. To perform n ir purge. To perform test run. To perform n ctutor test run. Underfloor screed dryout function The underfloor screed dryout function is strted (if necessry). 6..1 To check the minimum flow rte Mndtory procedure for the dditionl zone 1 Confirm ccording to the hydrulic configurtion which spce heting loops cn e closed due to mechnicl, electronic, or other vlves. Close ll spce heting loops tht cn e closed (see previous step). 3 Strt the pump test run opertion (see "6..4 To perform n ctutor test run" on pge 0). 4 Go to [6.1.8]: > Informtion > Sensor informtion > Flow rte to check the flow rte. During pump test run opertion, the unit cn operte elow this minimum required flow rte tht is needed during defrost/ckup heter opertion. No Recommended procedure for the min zone In cse the ctul flow rte is elow the minimum flow rte (required during defrost/ckup heter opertion), modifictions t hydrulic configurtion re required. Increse the spce heting loops tht cn NOT e closed or instll pressure controlled ypss vlve. 5 Confirm ccording to the hydrulic configurtion which spce heting loops cn e closed due to mechnicl, electronic, or other vlves. 6 Close ll spce heting loops tht cn e closed (see previous step). 7 Crete thermo request on the min zone only. 8 Wit 1 minute until the unit is stilized. 19
