4 Instlltion 4.2 Mounting the indoor unit 4.2.1 To instll the indoor unit 1 Lift the indoor unit from the pllet nd plce it on the floor. 4 120kg Refrigernt liquid connection Refrigernt gs connection 2 Connect the gs stop vlve from the outdoor unit to the refrigernt gs connection of the indoor unit. 4.4 Connecting the wter piping 4.4.1 To connect the wter piping 2 Slide the indoor unit into position. 3 Adjust the height of the leveling feet to compenste for floor irregulrities. The mximum llowed devition is 1. 1 Do NOT use excessive force when connecting the piping. Deformtion of the piping cn cuse mlfunctioning of the unit. To fcilitte service nd mintennce, 2 shut-off vlves re provided. Mount these vlves on the spce heting wter inlet nd spce heting wter outlet. Mind their position. It is recommended to instll shut-off vlves to domestic cold wter in nd domestic hot wter out connections. These shut-off vlves re field supplied. 2 Screw the indoor unit nuts on the shut-off vlves. 3 Connect the domestic hot wter in nd out pipes to the indoor unit. Instll ir purge vlves t ll locl high points. 4.4.2 To connect the recircultion piping Prerequisite: Only required if you need recircultion in your system. 1 Loosen nd remove the 4 screws tht fix the top pnel. 2 Remove the top pnel from the unit. 6

4 Instlltion 4 4 Fill the circuit with wter until the mnometer indictes pressure of ±2.0 r. 5 Purge s much ir s possile from the wter circuit. 6 Close the fill vlve. 7 Disconnect the wter supply hose from the fill vlve. 4.4.4 To fill the domestic hot wter tnk 3 In cse of unit with tnk cpcity of 180 l, remove the expnsion vessel. 4 Remove the top insultion. 5 Cut out prt (c) from the top insultion. Tnk cpcity Cut out position 180 l Left OR right 260 l Bckside 6 Connect the recircultion piping to the recircultion connection () nd route the piping through the hole t the ckside of the unit (). Turning on the system when the tnk is not full cn dmge the integrted nti-legionell heter nd cuse electricl errors. 4.4.5 To insulte the wter piping The piping in the complete wter circuit MUST e insulted to prevent condenstion nd reduction of the heting cpcity. Seprte connection to the indoor unit is required: if preferentil kwh rte power supply is interrupted when ctive, OR if no power consumption of the indoor unit is llowed t the preferentil kwh rte power supply when ctive. The preferentil kwh rte power supply contct is connected to the sme terminls (X5M/3+4) s the sfety thermostt. It is only possile for the system to hve EITHER preferentil kwh rte power supply OR sfety thermostt. Min user interfce () Optionl user interfce 2 Insert screwdriver into the slots underneth the user interfce nd crefully seprte the fceplte from the wllplte. The PCB is mounted in the fceplte of the user interfce. Be creful NOT to dmge it. 3 Use the 2 screws in the ccessory g to fix the wllplte of the user interfce to the sheet metl of the unit. Be creful NOT to distort the shpe of the ckside of the user interfce y overtightening the mounting screws. Fix the wllplte of the user interfce to the wll. 4.5.3 To connect the user interfce If you use 1 user interfce, you cn instll it t the indoor unit (for control close to the indoor unit), or in the room (when used s room thermostt). If you use 2 user interfces, you cn instll 1 user interfce t the indoor unit (for control close to the indoor unit) + 1 user interfce in the room (used s room thermostt). The procedure differs slightly depending on where you instll the user interfce. 4 Connect s shown in 4A. Connect s shown in 4A, 4B, 4C or 4D. 5 Reinstll the fceplte onto the wllplte. Be creful NOT to pinch the wiring when ttching the frontplte to the unit. () The min user interfce is required for opertion, ut hs to e ordered seprtely (mndtory option). 9

5 Configurtion 4.6 Finishing the indoor unit instlltion 4.6.1 To fix the user interfce cover to the indoor unit 1 Mke sure tht the front pnel is removed from the indoor unit. See "4.1.1 To open the indoor unit" on pge 5. 2 Plug the user interfce cover into the hinges. When the instller settings re chnged, the user interfce will request to confirm. When confirmed, the screen will shortly turn OFF nd "usy" will e displyed for severl seconds. Accessing settings Legend for tles You cn ccess the instller settings using two different methods. Why The explntion out the configurtion in this chpter gives you ONLY sic explntions. For more detiled explntion nd ckground informtion, see the instller reference guide. If you do NOT configure the system correctly, it might NOT work s expected. The configurtion influences the following: The clcultions of the softwre Wht you cn see on nd do with the user interfce How You cn configure the system vi the user interfce. First time Quick wizrd. When you turn ON the user interfce for the first time (vi the indoor unit), quick wizrd strts to help you configure the system. Afterwrds. If necessry, you cn mke chnges to the configurtion fterwrds. To ccess the instller settings 1 Set the user permission level to Instller. 2 Go to [A]: > Instller settings. To ccess the overview settings 1 Set the user permission level to Instller. 2 Go to [A.8]: > Instller settings > Overview settings. To set the user permission level to Instller 1 Set the user permission level to Adv. end user. 2 Go to [6.4]: > Informtion > User permission level. 3 Press for more thn 4 seconds. Result: is displyed on the home pges. 4 If you do NOT press ny utton for more thn 1 hour or press gin for more thn 4 seconds, the instller permission level switches ck to End user. To set the user permission level to Advnced end user 1 Go to the min menu or ny of its sumenus:. 2 Press for more thn 4 seconds. Result: The user permission level switches to Adv. end user. 6 Commissioning 6 Commissioning NEVER operte the unit without thermistors nd/or pressure sensors/switches. Burning of the compressor might result. 6.1 Checklist efore commissioning Do NOT operte the system efore the following checks re OK: You red the complete instlltion instructions, s descried in the instller reference guide. 18 The indoor unit is properly mounted. Only if you use the optionl ckup heter: The ckup heter is properly mounted. The outdoor unit is properly mounted. The following field wiring hs een crried out ccording to this document nd the pplicle legisltion: Between the locl supply pnel nd the outdoor unit Between indoor unit nd outdoor unit Between the locl supply pnel nd the indoor unit Between the indoor unit nd the vlves (if pplicle) Between the indoor unit nd the room thermostt (if pplicle) The system is properly erthed nd the erth terminls re tightened. Only if you use the optionl ckup heter: Depending on the ckup heter type, ckup heter circuit reker F1B (on the switch ox of the ckup heter) is turned ON. The nti-legionell heter circuit reker F2B on the switch ox is turned ON. There re NO refrigernt leks. The refrigernt pipes (gs nd liquid) re thermlly insulted. The correct pipe size is instlled nd the pipes re properly insulted. There is NO wter lek inside the indoor unit. The shut-off vlves re properly instlled nd fully open. The stop vlves (gs nd liquid) on the outdoor unit re fully open. The ir purge vlve is open (t lest 2 turns). The pressure relief vlve purges wter when opened. The minimum wter volume is gurnteed in ll conditions. See "To check the wter volume" in "3.2 Prepring wter piping" on pge 4. The domestic hot wter tnk is filled completely. The softwre is equipped with n "instller-on-site" mode ([4 0E]), tht disles utomtic opertion y the unit. At first instlltion, setting [4 0E] is y defult set to "1", mening utomtic opertion is disled. All protective functions re then disled. If the user interfce home pges re off, the unit will NOT operte utomticlly. To enle utomtic opertion nd the protective functions, set [4 0E] to "0". 12 hours fter the first power-on, the unit will utomticlly set [4 0E] to "0", ending "instller-on-site" mode nd enling the protective functions. If fter first instlltion the instller returns to the site, the instller hs to set [4 0E] to "1" mnully. 6.2 Checklist during commissioning The minimum flow rte during ckup heter/defrost opertion is gurnteed in ll conditions. See "To check the wter volume nd flow rte" in "3.2 Prepring wter piping" on pge 4. To perform n ir purge. To perform test run. To perform n ctutor test run. Underfloor screed dryout function The underfloor screed dryout function is strted (if necessry). 6.2.1 To check the minimum flow rte 1 Confirm ccording to the hydrulic configurtion which spce heting loops cn e closed due to mechnicl, electronic, or other vlves. 2 Close ll spce heting loops tht cn e closed (see previous step). 3 Strt the pump test run opertion (see "6.2.4 To perform n ctutor test run" on pge 19). 4 Go to [6.1.8]: > Informtion > Sensor informtion > Flow rte to check the flow rte. During pump test run opertion, the unit cn operte elow this minimum required flow rte. It stops utomticlly when done. To stop it mnully, press, select OK nd press. 6.2.3 To perform test run Prerequisite: Mke sure tht the leving wter temperture home pge, room temperture home pge, nd domestic hot wter home pge re turned OFF. 1 Set the user permission level to Instller. See "To set the user permission level to Instller" on pge 12. 2 Go to [A.7.1]: > Instller settings > Commissioning > Test run. 3 Select test nd press. Exmple: Heting. 4 Select OK nd press. Result: The test run strts. It stops utomticlly when done (±30 min). To stop it mnully, press, select OK nd press. When strting up the system in cold climte, nd NO ckup heter kit ws instlled, it my e required to strt up with smll wter volume. To do this, grdully open the het emitters. As result, the wter temperture will grdully rise. Monitor the inlet wter temperture ([6.1.6] in the menu structure) nd mke sure it does NOT drop elow 15 C. If 2 user interfces re present, you cn strt test run from oth user interfces. The user interfce used to strt the test run displys sttus screen. The other user interfce displys "usy" screen. You cnnot use the user interfce s long s the "usy" screen is shown. 6.2.4 To perform n ctutor test run Prerequisite: Mke sure tht the leving wter temperture home pge, room temperture home pge, nd domestic hot wter home pge re turned OFF. 1 Set the user permission level to Instller. See "To set the user permission level to Instller" on pge 12. 2 Mke sure the room temperture control, the leving wter temperture control nd the domestic hot wter control re turned OFF vi the user interfce. 3 Go to [A.7.4]: > Instller settings > Commissioning > Actutor test run. 4 Select n ctutor nd press. Result: The underfloor heting screed dryout strts. It stops utomticlly when done. To stop it mnully, press, select OK nd press. To perform n underfloor heting screed dryout, room frost protection needs to e disled ([2 06]=0). By defult, it is enled ([2 06]=1). However, due to the "instller-on-site" mode (see "Checklist efore commissioning"), room frost protection will e utomticlly disled for 12 hours fter the first power-on. If the screed dryout still needs to e performed fter the first 12 hours of power-on, mnully disle room frost protection y setting [2 06] to "0", nd KEEP it disled until the screed dryout hs finished. Ignoring this notice will result in crcking of the screed.
