Catalogue of Best Practice Examples Catalogue serves as source of information about the projects realized in the area of energy savings measures and RES. Examples contain all necessary and relevant information. The Catalogue is made in electronic form and is available on the project website www.energy-region.eu

Catalogue of Best Practice Examples Project Characteristic The project characteristic contains key technical and economic figures of the project. The data presented in this part of the catalogue is not only allowed mutual comparison of the same types of projects, but also the comparison of different solutions (for example heating systems). Technical Data The technical data includes basic technical parameters of the project, such as the installed electrical/heat capacity, energy generation, efficiency etc. These parameters are nominal, i.e. are taken from the data sheet or project documentation of the system. The actual values achieved in the monitored time period will be stated in the part Operating Data. Economic Data The economic data includes basic economic parameters of the project, such as the total capital expenditure, total annual operating costs, annual revenues, period of return of investment, etc. Operating data are considered here as anticipated, i.e. according to the project documentation. The actual values achieved in the monitored time period will be stated in the Operational Data section. Operating Data As noted above, this part of the catalogue sheet may include selected technical and economic figures that are actually achieved in practice. Comments (national specifications and additional information) Comments may contain additional project information comments on the calculation, limitations (if any), additional technical data, etc.

Catalogue of Best Practice Examples The Catalogue of Best Practice Examples is divided into three categories according to the type of energy efficiency measures or of efficient use of energy resources: RES projects generating primarily electricity RES projects generating primarily heat Energy efficiency projects Good practice examples will be made to the particular project types. Examples will be from Germany, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovenia.

"Starý Harcov" The family house is located in Liberec. The building combine traditional and modern technical and technological elements. Perimeter walls are made of timber, wooden structures with sufficient thermal insulation and mineral insulation. The family house is build on the principle of passive wooden buildings. The proposed heat source for heating and hot water works in the trivalent regime; the largest portion of energy consumption are covered by the heat pump with a surface collector, and at the request of the investor modern stove with heat exchanger are installed in the interior which provide energy mainly in the winter. The supplementary energy required is supplied by two electric cartridges which are normally part of the storage tank IZT -U TSE 1000. To this tray can be alternatively connected solar thermal systems instead of proposed heat pump. Address (project implem.): GPS: Year of construction: 2014 ul. Photovoltaic System and Thermic System in "Kladno" It is a simple two-story house with a garage. In the ground floor are meeting facilities represented by a living room, dining room and kitchen, 2nd floor is designed as a private area, bedroom, etc. The structure of the building consists of the solid wood panels, layers are designed to be open to diffusion. The house is heated by electric floor mats regulated by PI controllers. On the roof is installed 20 pieces of photovoltaic panels with a total output of 4.7 kwp. Hot water is prepared in the storage tank DZD OKC 300 NTR / BP of 300 liters in which the electric immersion heater is fitted and using three pieces of the thermal collectors Logasil Buderus SKS 4.0. The facility is equipped with ventilation with heat recovery.
