Mke sure to use trolley with sufficiently long horizontl ledge, suitle for trnsporttion of hevy pplinces. When trnsporting the unit, keep the unit stright. Use the hndles t the ck to crry the unit. Unit instlltion Specil requirements for R The indoor unit contins n internl refrigernt circuit (R), ut you do NOT hve to do ny refrigernt field piping or refrigernt chrging. The totl refrigernt chrge in the system is.84 kg, so the system is NOT sujected to ny requirements to the instlltion room. However, mind the following requirements nd precutions: WARNING Do NOT pierce or urn. Do NOT use mens to ccelerte the defrosting process or to clen the equipment, other thn those recommended y the mnufcturer. Be wre tht R refrigernt does NOT contin n odour. WARNING The pplince shll e stored so s to prevent mechnicl dmge nd in well-ventilted room without continuously operting ignition sources (exmple: open flmes, n operting gs pplince or n operting electric heter). If necessry, remove the front pnel. This is, for exmple, necessry when you wnt to remove the hydro module from the unit. See ".. To remove the hydro module from the unit" on pge 7 for more informtion. WARNING Mke sure instlltion, servicing, mintennce nd repir comply with instructions from Dikin nd with pplicle legisltion (for exmple ntionl gs regultion) nd re executed only y uthorised persons.. Opening nd closing the unit.. To open the indoor unit T5 For stndrd instlltion, it is usully NOT required to open the unit. Opening the unit or ny of the switch oxes is ONLY required when you wnt to instll extr option kits. For more informtion, see the instlltion mnul of the specific option kit, or elow. To open the indoor unit Remove the top pnel. 4 In cse you wnt to instll the option kit EKGSPOWCAB (= power cle for split power supply), lso remove the left side pnel. Also see "5. To connect the min power supply" on pge. 5 T5 Remove the user interfce pnel. Open the hinges t the top nd slide the top pnel upwrds. If you remove the user interfce pnel, lso disconnect the cles from the ck of the pnel to prevent dmge. 6

Unit instlltion.. To remove the hydro module from the unit Removing the hydro module is only required for esier trnsporttion of the unit or for servicing. The removl of the module will significntly reduce the weight of the unit. This mkes the unit esier to hndle nd crry. Open the following (see ".. To open the indoor unit" on pge 6): User interfce pnel Front pnel T5 Remove the insultion from the shut-off vlves y unfixing the velcro strps on the ck of the vlves. Remove the clips tht lock the vlves in plce. 4 Uncouple the piping. To open the switch ox cover of the indoor unit 5 Open the instller switch ox s follows: T5 6 In cse you hve to instll dditionl options tht require ccess to the min switch ox, remove the min switch ox cover s follows: 4 5 4 4 T5 6 Remove the lower hydro module cover. Unlink the connectors tht run from the hydro module to the min switch ox or other loctions. Route the wires through the grommets of the upper hydro module cover. 7

Unit instlltion Mke sure not to dmge ny insultion during the removl process. X80YA XYB XYA XY Removl fter first instlltion If the wter nd rine circuits hve een filled efore, the procedure for removing the hydro module involves steps in ddition to those descried ove: Close the shut-off vlves y turning the lever hndles efore uncoupling the piping. 4 7 Remove the upper hydro module cover. You cn lift up the uncoupled piping to ccess the screws more esily, nd to tke off the cover itself. Before sliding out the module, drin remining wter nd rine from the hydro module. Open the wter nd rine ir purge vlves t the top of the module to speed up the drining process. d c 5 T5 8 Remove the screw tht fixes the hydro module to the ottom plte. c d T5 9 Lift up the uncoupled piping nd use the hndle on the front of the module to crefully slide the module out of the unit. Mke sure the module remins level nd does not tilt forwrd... Wter drin vlve Brine drin vlve Brine ir purge vlve Wter ir purge vlve To close the indoor unit If pplicle, reinstll the left side pnel. If pplicle, reinsert the hydro module. If pplicle, close the cover of the min switch ox nd reinstll the front pnel. 4 Close the cover of the instller switch ox. 5 Reconnect the cles to the user interfce pnel. 6 Reinstll the user interfce pnel. 7 Reinstll the top pnel. When closing the indoor unit cover, mke sure tht the tightening torque does NOT exceed 4. N m.. Mounting the indoor unit.. To instll the indoor unit Lift the indoor unit from the pllet nd plce it on the floor. See ".. To hndle the indoor unit" on pge 5. Connect the drin hose to the drin. See ".. To connect the drin hose to the drin" on pge 9. CAUTION The hydro module is hevy. It requires t lest two persons to crry it. 8

4 Piping instlltion Slide the unit into position. 4 Adjust the height of the 4 levelling feet of the outer frme to compenste for floor irregulrities. The mximum llowed devition is. WARNING It is the responsiility of the instller to ensure the comptiility of field piping with the used nti-freeze fluid in the rine circuit. Do NOT use Zn-coted piping, s this my led to excessive corrosion. See lso "4..4 To fill the rine circuit" on pge 0. 4.. To check the wter volume nd flow rte of the spce heting circuit nd rine circuit Do NOT tilt the unit forwrds: Minimum wter volume Check tht the totl wter volume per circuit in the instlltion is minimum 0 litre, the internl wter volume of the indoor unit NOT included. If minimum heting lod of kw cn e gurnteed nd setting [4.B] Spce heting/cooling > Overshoot (overview field setting [9 04]) is 4 C, the minimum wter volume cn e lowered to 0 litre. In criticl processes, or in rooms with high het lod, extr wter might e required. 0 To void structurl dmge on unit, ONLY move the unit when levelling feet re t their lowest position. For optimum sound reduction, crefully check if there is no gp etween the ottom frme nd the floor... To connect the drin hose to the drin Condenste cn form inside the unit during cooling opertion or with low rine tempertures. The top nd ckup heter drin pns re connected to drin hose inside the unit. You must connect the drin hose to n pproprite drin ccording to the pplicle legisltion. The drin hose is routed through the rer pnel, towrds the right side of the unit. When circultion in ech spce heting/cooling loop is controlled y remotely controlled vlves, it is importnt tht the minimum wter volume is gurnteed, even if ll of the vlves re closed. Minimum flow rte If glycol ws dded to the wter circuit, nd the temperture of the wter circuit is low, the flow rte will NOT e displyed on the user interfce. In this cse, the minimum flow rte cn e checked y wy of the pump test (check tht the user interfce does NOT disply error 7H). There is no minimum required flow rte. 4. Connecting the rine piping 4.. To connect the rine piping 4 Piping instlltion Brine OUT (Ø8 mm) Brine IN (Ø8 mm) 4. Prepring piping In cse of plstic pipes, mke sure they re fully oxygen diffusion tight ccording to DIN 476. The diffusion of oxygen into the piping cn led to excessive corrosion. To fcilitte service nd mintennce, it is recommended to instll shut-off vlves s close s possile to the inlet nd outlet of the unit. 9

4 Piping instlltion 4.. To connect the rine level vessel The rine level vessel (delivered s ccessory) must e instlled on the rine side of the het pump system. A sfety vlve is included with the vessel. The vessel serves s visul indictor of the rine level of the system. Air trpped in the system is collected y the vessel, cusing the level of rine in the vessel to decrese. Instll the rine level vessel s the highest point in the rine circuit on the entering rine piping. Mount the included sfety vlve on top of the vessel. Instll shut-off vlve (field supplied) elow the vessel. The mterils used in the rine circuit of the unit re chemiclly resistnt to the following nti-freeze fluids: 40 mss% propylene glycol 9 mss% ethnol Instll the rine filling kit. See "4.. To connect the rine filling kit" on pge 0. Connect field supplied rine filling system to the -wy vlve. Position the wy vlve correctly. If it is not possile to instll the rine level vessel s the highest point in the circuit, instll n expnsion vessel (field supply) nd instll the sfety vlve in front of the expnsion vessel. Filure to oserve this instruction my result in mlfunctioning of the unit. c Brine level vessel (ccessory) Brine filling kit (field supply or option kit KGSFILL) c Brine filling system (field supply) 4 Fill the circuit with rine until pressure of ±.0 r (= 00 kp). 5 Return the wy vlve to its originl position. 0 Brine level vessel (ccessory) Expnsion vessel (field supply, in cse rine level vessel cnnot e instlled s the highest point) If the level of rine in the vessel is lower thn /, fill the vessel with rine: 4 Close the shut-off vlve elow the vessel. 5 Remove the sfety vlve on top of the vessel. 6 Top up the vessel with rine until it is pproximtely / filled. 7 Reconnect the sfety vlve. 8 Open the shut-off vlve elow the vessel. 4.. To connect the rine filling kit A rine filling kit (field supply or option kit KGSFILL) cn e used to flush, fill nd drin the rine circuit of the system. For instlltion instructions, see the instlltion mnul of the rine filling kit. 4..4 To fill the rine circuit WARNING Before, during nd fter filling crefully check the rine circuit for lekge. A field supplied filling kit my come without filter tht protects components in the rine circuit. In this cse, it is the responsiility of the instller to instll filter on the rine side of the system. WARNING Temperture of the fluid running through the evportor cn ecome negtive. It MUST e protected ginst freezing. For more informtion, see setting [A 04] in "6..4 Brine" on pge 9. 4..5 To insulte the rine piping The piping in the complete rine circuit MUST e insulted to prevent reduction of the heting cpcity. Consider tht the rine circuit piping inside the house cn/will condenste. Foresee dequte insultion for these pipes. 4. Connecting the wter piping 4.. To connect the wter piping Do NOT use excessive force when connecting the piping. Deformtion of the piping cn cuse mlfunctioning of the unit. Instll the shut off-vlve with integrted filter (delivered s ccessory) t the spce heting/cooling wter inlet. Connect the spce heting/cooling in pipe to the shut-off vlve nd the spce heting/cooling out pipe to the unit.

Shut-off vlves re field supplied. Aout the shut-off vlve with integrted filter (delivered s ccessory): The instlltion of the vlve t the wter inlet is mndtory. Mind the flow direction of the vlve Instll ir purge vlves t ll locl high points. A pressure relief vlve (field supply) with n opening pressure of mximum 0 r (= MP) must e instlled on the domestic cold wter inlet connection in ccordnce with the pplicle legisltion. 4.. To connect the recircultion piping Prerequisite: Only required if you need recircultion in your system. Remove the top pnel from the unit, see ".. To open the indoor unit" on pge 6. Cut out the ruer grommet on top of the unit, nd remove the stop. The recircultion connector is locted elow the spce heting/cooling wter outlet pipe. Route the recircultion piping through the grommet nd connect it to the recircultion connector. 4 Rettch the top pnel. 4.. To fill the spce heting circuit To fill the spce heting circuit, use field supply filling kit. Mke sure you comply with the pplicle legisltion. Air in the wter circuit cn cuse mlfunctioning of the ckup heter. During filling, it my not e possile to remove ll the ir from the circuit. Remining ir will e removed through the utomtic ir purge vlves during the initil operting hours of the system. Additionl filling with wter fterwrds my e required. To purge the system, use the specil function s descried in the chpter "7 Commissioning" on pge. This function should e used to purge the het exchnger coil of the domestic hot wter tnk. 4..4 To fill the domestic hot wter tnk Open every hot wter tp in turn to purge ir from the system pipe work. Open the cold wter supply vlve. Close ll wter tps fter ll ir is purged. 4 Check for wter leks. 5 Mnully operte the field-instlled pressure relief vlve to ensure free wter flow through the dischrge pipe. 4..5 To insulte the wter piping The piping in the complete wter circuit MUST e insulted to prevent reduction of the heting cpcity. Consider tht the spce heting piping cn condenste during cooling opertion. Foresee dequte insultion for these pipes. 5 Electricl instlltion DANGER: RISK OF ELECTROCUTION WARNING ALWAYS use multicore cle for power supply cles.
