Part I. was founded and works in the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine. The registry is responsible for coordination of stem cells transplantation from unrelated donors for both Czech and international patients. The registry is therefore a member of the international network of 6 unrelated bone marrow donor registries where 23 million donors are registered. The main activities of the registry recruitment of new donors initial HLA typing of donors (EFI accredited laboratory), maintenance of the donors data and the data of CBUs through the database searches of suitable donors for Czech and foreign patients extended HLA typing of donors according to the Czech and foreign TCs requests coordination of stem cells collections and bone marrow harvests arrangement of the transport of the grafts to the TCs care for the donors after stem cells collection (in cooperation with the CC) The main goals of the registry recruitment of new donors reaching of target groups, lectures, providing information search for sponsors, funding and support of the registry activities search for media partners, VIPs maintenance of cooperation with recruitment centres improving procedures and standards to ensure donors safety and anonymity
