BYDLENÍ, NOVÉ PROJEKTY AUSPICES: PROFESSIONAL COOPERATION: Gala Evening Party The second evening of the trade fair events belonged to the ceremonial gala evening party which took place in the DCS CLUB in the atmosphere of a Hawaiian night. The initial ceremony was followed by announcement of results of the GRAND PRIX and TOP EXPO professional competitions. Then the participants could enjoy a buffet party and a programme with thematic competitions and presentation of Brazilian dances. At the end of the evening the guests could take part in an auction of interesting prizes by using tokens which they won during the evening in various competitions.

The traditional FOR HABITAT Trade Fair started the spring trade fair season of exhibitions focused on living and confirmed that it is an ideal opportunity for getting oneself familiar, simultaneously in one place, with the news and trends in the sector. The structure of this trade fair is regularly formed of fixed building and interior elements, family swimming pools, roofing of terraces. The exhibitors used the opportunity of showing that they always have a lot of innovations to offer and enrich the existing product range, and also that they are not afraid of investing in more extensive and sophisticated designs of their presentations. The FOR HABITAT Trade Fair was situated in the Hall 3, together with the event known as BYDLENÍ, NOVÉ PROJEKTY (Living, New Projects), and thus the construction sector was presented together with an offer of development companies. Customers could use free-of-charge advisory services and find an interesting inspiration for their construction or renovation. This year the trade fair offered all what a trade fair of this extent should provide a wide range of high-quality exhibitors, promotion as well as a large number of visitors.

COMPETITION FOR THE MOST IMPRESSIVE EXPOSITION In the TOP EXPO 2017 competition for the FOR HABITAT Trade Fair the Trade Fair Administration ABF, a.s. announced the following firm as the winner: DOPOS Přelouč s.r.o. Exposition with a high-quality design of details and excellent presentation of exhibits. 3 rd place Firm: VETOS dveře a zárubně s.r.o. Exhibit: Interior door SANDE; Justification: Technically interesting solution with a nice aesthetic form and excellent surface finishing.

Number of exhibitors: 152 / Net exhibition area: 5 880 m 2 More than 150 Czech as well as foreign firms presented classical, modern and design furniture at the largest spring international trade fair for furniture and interior design known as FOR FURNITURE. In three exhibition halls it was possible to see presentations of leading Czech and foreign furniture manufacturers, furniture importers as well as interior design studios. The firms presented the latest trends for 2017 and visitors could use free-of-charge consultancy of interior designers again. An inspiring exhibition of world trends of living was not missing either. The sixth edition of the selective overview of the interior design presented the most progressive Czech as well as foreign brands and studios. Several dozens of firms from the Czech Republic and abroad presented their products and services at the trade fair. MAIN INTENT OF THE TRADE FAIR To present the studios and designers, whose work brings invention in the interior design world and guarantees a high quality of the trade fair. Design Shaker is exceptional especially due to the fact that it is a selective overview of design, to which architects, designers and businesspersons are invited in a targeted manner, and at the same time it is organised within the framework of large trade fairs for a very wide group of visitors. The people coming to the spring trade fairs for living have particular interests and needs. They are professionals or those who build or equip a house. We present a high-quality design to these visitors: focused not only on products but also on services of architectonic and designer studios. TRADE FAIR SECTIONS Design Shaker is traditionally divided into sections focused on closely cooperating professions. The thematic section entitled Big Deal presented a selection of established Czech manufacturers and distributors of the best-known foreign brands. In the Fresh Space section it was possible to see a young generation of designers who still study or started to create under their own brands. But still the structure is safe and firm. HONOURABLE MENTION Martin Foret for Heart A simple structure is supported by both artistic and static components. 2 nd place Vilém Duchoň Production of upholstered furniture for SIT&SLEEP The Jury appreciated simplicity and proportional design of the sofa and modular concept of support pillows. 3 rd place Benlemi Michal Pomp for the Happy house Bed + Extended Foots + Drawer 2in1 The environment-friendly design of the material, including surface finishing, as well as support of children s inspiration in playing were appreciated The prestigious award in the competition for the most impressive exposition TOP EXPO was granted to the furniture manufacturing company JELÍNEK - výroba nábytku s.r.o. for a minimalist design.

LIGHT IN ARCHITECTURE Number of exhibitors: 34 / Net exhibition area: 555 m 2 The 5 th Specialised Exhibition of Lighting, Design and Accessories known as Light in Architecture has become a part of the spring set of living trade fairs held at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE this year. It was organised in Hall 6 and it again confirmed that this unique project has its stable place among trade fair events in the Czech Republic. There were presented 34 companies important Czech as well as world brands from the field of production and design of lighting fittings and illumination technology. Within the framework of the unique Czechoslovak design of lighting fittings the students of the Industrial Design Atelier of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava and Tomas Bata University in Zlín presented their works. The project arose in cooperation with the Slovak representation of the Artemide brand. Visitors were interested in students works not only due to professional designs of lighting fittings with an excellent design and functionality, but also thanks to the original implementation of the exposition. competition results COMPETITION FOR THE BEST EXHIBIT Altogether 3 awards were granted to the following companies: ARTEMIDE-SELENE for the light EGGBOARD (1) The light combines lighting and acoustic functions. The LED sources enable an individual change in the light flux distribution. The light design emphasises its acoustic characteristics. ASTRA Lighting s.r.o. for the LIF light (manufacturer: SELUX) (2) In spite of the comprehensive nature of the functions offered, the shaping of the light is lapidary. This element of the street furniture enables implementation of both modern lighting means and the socalled SMART technologies. An interesting feature is especially the modular design and possibility of data and capacity connectivity. LEDKO a.s. for the collection of lights known as CHER HUE (manufacturer: PHILIPS) (3) The CHER collection of lights presents a set of lights of a classical timeless design, with the existing LED sources, with perfect craft processing, the lights are of both suspension and built-up types. Altogether 3 prizes were awarded in this competition for the best product. 1 st place Occhio store Prague for the lighting fitting Sento Sospeso (6) User-simple and elegant lighting of the working area. 2 nd place ARTEMIDE-SELENE for the lighting fitting EGGBOARD (1) It combines lighting and acoustic functions and offers a possibility of several types of lighting sources. 3 rd place WT-WINDOWS TOMORROW s.r.o. for the light guide system SkyVault M74 (7) The light guide system illuminates the interiors without any demands for electrical energy, furthermore it is very elegant. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Besides the above, 2 Honourable Mentions were granted: To C.G.T. s.r.o. for the YZI light prototype (4) The YZI light prototype features simple shaping which offers, at multiplication of individual suspension modules, creation of individual light objects of different sizes according to the interior characteristics. The TOP EXPO Award received exposition of the company PROLICHT CZECH s.r.o. for the best architectural design. To the College of Fine Arts for its exposition of lighting fittings (5) Summary of innovative author s designs of lighting fittings implemented by students in cooperation with ARTEMIDE. The visitors were mainly interested in the collection of garden lights with an original principle of use of the solar energy. The lighting object GALASSIA attracted the visitors attention with its shaping and the table light Op_01 was admired for its multifunction requirements concerning the change of the shape with the use of both direct and indirect light flux.

Number of exhibitors: 39 / Net exhibition area: 574 m 2 For the term of its existence the BYDLENÍ, NOVÉ PROJEKTY (Living, New Projects) exhibition has become an integral part of the advertising presentation on the real property market and is the most sought-for overview of new projects of living especially in Prague and the surroundings. The specialised exhibition is focused on developers, complete portfolio of development projects, real estate offices and financial institutions. This year s edition was again attended by leading Czech players from the number of development companies, which are for example SKANSKA, Pražská správa nemovitostí, Trigema, JRD, YIT, Moravská Stavební - Invest, Real Treuhand, Ekospol and others. The event was organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry for Regional Development of the Czech Republic, Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic, Czech Chamber of Commerce and Czech Technical University in Prague. The professional partner of the exhibition was already traditionally the Association of Real Estate Offices.

The first day offered a discussion panel of the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic focused on the topic of social and seniors barrier-free living, which was attended by interesting speakers. In the first part dedicated to legislation it was possible to listen to the speeches provided by Marcela Pavlová, Deputy Minister for Regional Development entrusted with management of the Building Law Section; Jiří Klíma, Director of the Living Policy Department of the Ministry for Regional Development; and Jan Bezděk, Chairman of the Dívčí Hrad Town Council. In the second block focused on the barrier-free facilities in communities it was possible to take part in discussions of Dagmar Lanzová, Chairwoman of the Assessment Jury of the Czech National Disability Council; Marie Málková, Coordinator of the Across Barriers Project from the Prague Organisation of Wheelchair Users and Petr Hazuza from the Barriers Account. As far as the offers of the accompanying programme are concerned, the lecture of the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic was frequently visited, as its representatives provided the listeners, who were present there, with various information regarding detailed possibilities of subsidy programmes suitable for those who plan to construct or renovate. They advised the visitors what subsidy programmes they can currently use. The lecture focused on the topic How to purchase and how to sell a house or flat was very interesting for listeners as well, it was also prepared by the ESTAV.CZ portal.
