6 4 Instlltion When circultion in ech spce heting/cooling loop is controlled y remotely controlled vlves, it is importnt tht the minimum wter volume is gurnteed, even if ll of the vlves re closed. Minimum flow rte Check tht the minimum flow rte (required during defrost/ckup heter opertion) in the instlltion is gurnteed in ll conditions. If glycol ws dded to the wter circuit, nd the temperture of the wter circuit is low, the flow rte will NOT e displyed on the user interfce. In this cse, the minimum flow rte cn e checked y wy of the pump test (check tht the user interfce does NOT disply error 7H). When circultion in ech or certin spce heting loops is controlled y remotely controlled vlves, it is importnt tht the minimum flow rte is gurnteed, even if ll vlves re closed. In cse the minimum flow rte cnnot e reched, flow error 7H will e generted (no heting or opertion). See the instller reference guide for more informtion. Deformtion of the piping cn cuse mlfunctioning of the unit. Mke sure tht the tightening torque does NOT exceed 30 N m. To fcilitte service nd mintennce, 2 shut-off vlves re provided. Mount the vlves on the spce heting wter inlet nd spce heting wter outlet. Mind their position: the integrted drin vlves will only drin the side of the circuit on which they re locted. To e le to only drin the unit, mke sure the drin vlves re positioned etween the shut off vlves nd the unit. 9 4 Instlltion Glycol The required concentrtion of glycol depends on the lowest expected outdoor temperture, nd on whether you wnt to protect the system from ursting or from freezing. To prevent the system from freezing, more glycol is required. Add glycol ccording to the tle elow. Protection ginst ursting: the glycol will prevent the piping from ursting, ut NOT the liquid inside the piping from freezing. Protection ginst freezing: the glycol will prevent the liquid inside the piping from freezing. In cse of reversile systems (heting+cooling), ALWAYS protect the piping nd plte het exchnger from freezing. In cse the lowest expected outdoor temperture is not mentioned in the tle, select the worst cse vlue. Exmple: If the lowest expected outdoor temperture is 10 C, dd 35% of glycol to the system. The ddition of glycol pplies to BOTH cooling only models (EWAQ BAVP) AND reversile models (EWYQ BAVP), nd is independent of cooling or heting opertion. The required concentrtion might differ depending on the type of glycol. ALWAYS compre the requirements from the tle ove with the specifictions provided y the glycol mnufcturer. If necessry, meet the requirements set y the glycol mnufcturer. The dded concentrtion of glycol should NEVER exceed 35%. If the liquid in the system is frozen, the pump will NOT e le to strt. Mind tht if you only prevent the system from ursting, the liquid inside might still freeze. In cse of power supply filure or pump filure, nd NO glycol ws dded to the system, drin the system. When wter is t stndstill inside the system, the system is very likely to freeze nd get dmged. The following types of glycol re llowed: Ethylene glycol; Propylene glycol, including the necessry inhiitors, clssified s Ctegory III ccording to EN1717. WARNING Ethylene glycol is toxic. Glycol sors wter from its environment. Therefore do NOT dd glycol tht hs een exposed to ir. Leving the cp off the glycol continer cuses the concentrtion of wter to increse. The glycol concentrtion is then lower thn ssumed. As result, the hydrulic components might freeze up fter ll. Tke preventive ctions to ensure miniml exposure of the glycol to ir. If overpressure occurs, the system will relese some of the liquid through the pressure relief vlve. If glycol ws dded to the system, tke dequte mesures so s to sfely recover it. In ny cse, mke sure tht the flexile hose of the pressure relief vlve is ALWAYS free to relese pressure. Prevent wter from stying nd/or freezing up inside the hose. WARNING Due to presence of glycol, corrosion of the system is possile. Uninhiited glycol will turn cidic under the influence of oxygen. This process is ccelerted y the presence of copper nd high tempertures. The cidic uninhiited glycol ttcks metl surfces nd forms glvnic corrosion cells tht cuse severe dmge to the system. Adding glycol to the wter circuit reduces the mximum llowed wter volume of the system.
