Aktua lnı valuace akciı doporuc ujeme zu stat pr eva z eni v akciı ch Akcie od začátku roku zajímavě rostly i díky měně: - Akciový trh v srpnu připsal 4,28 % v CZK. - V srpnu oslabovala koruna proti dolaru o 2 % a proti EUR o 0,56 %. Měnový vývoj pomáhal zahraničním investicím umazat ztráty. Od začátku roku koruna oslabila o 5,67 % proti USD a o 1,09 % proti EUR. - Oslabení koruny nám pomáhalo, v případě akciových investic a investic do dluhopisů s vysokým výnosem totiž nakupujeme aktiva v cizích měnách (měny nezajišťujeme). Dlouhodobě chceme cizí měny v portfoliu (tím spíše, pokud v nich chceme čerpat rentu). Graf: Vývoj světových akcií v USD, EUR a CZK za poslední rok. 1
Výnos korunového investora ovlivnilo i oslabení koruny Od začátku roku posiloval dolar. Proti euru posílil o 4,33 %. Koruna oslabila proti dolaru o 5,67%, oslabovala i proti EUR o 1,09%.

UBS global allocation Asset pricing as the Fed exits Once again, fundamentally, our view of the world has not changed: following our economic team, we believe that the DM world is slowly healing and its growth will continue to accelerate while the EM world lags behind. In this context, our four main calls remain intact: 1) Overweight Equity - as the economy slowly recovers, 2) Underweight Fixed Income - as the curve normalizes, 3) Cautious-Neutral EM margins remain under pressure due to rising unit labour cost and 4) neutral to underweight commodities - the super-cycle is over. Our Position Long DM equity We are overweight equity with a strong bias toward DM: Our overweights are now greatest in Europe (+150bp) followed by the US, Asia and Japan (+100bp) and the UK and GEM (+50 bp). Europe remains our preferred equity market as we believe that the recovery will generate operating leverage in the zone, however the disappointing Q2 GDP and the equally disappointing past two reporting seasons force us to be more cautious. As a result our Europe overweight is only marginally above that of the US. Our Position underweight Fixed Income After a tactical cut in risk in July we are now back to our "default" underweight in fixed income. We are cautious on credit: neutral on both US HY and US IG with a small overweight in European IG following Draghi's credit-positive statement on June 5th. We have underweights in EM debt (greatest on LC due to the negative effect of tapering on EM currencies), and JGBs. Risks 1) Fed tapering/em contagion: Instability in Ukraine seems to be intensifying and Chinese growth remains a concern. Against the backdrop of a strong US and nascent European recovery we believe that equity will recover from these and further shocks whereas fixed income will not. 2) China: We estimate that there is a 15% chance that there will be a 10% drop in the growth of construction volume which would cause a fall in growth to c5% in 2015. This would severely impact EM equity, global commodity prices and foreign exchange markets. 3) Japan: Japan could surprise on the upside if the BoJ announces further stimulus to counter the consumption tax that came into force this month. Inflation is likely to undershoot the 2% target and there is no sign of wage growth. 4. EM: We have been very cautious on EM since the end of last year. However a cocktail of low valuation + better economic data + lower for longer guidance on rates from the Fed could result in more solid EM performance. If low volatility persists there is a risk of a melt-up in EM equity. Fundamental 7
Our economic scenario is a slow recovery in DM with EM growth accelerating more slowly. This pattern of recovery translates into a strategically large allocation to DM equity. Strategically we still don t like EM equity: companies in EM have structural difficulties which are an obstacle to margin expansion. EM economic growth is disappointing, EM currencies are weak and may weaken further and cyclical commodity prices are subdued. We do not believe this is a cyclical story linked to operating leverage hence we do not believe that the mild recovery we expect will lead to renewed EM over - performance over the long term. Pioneer Based on our main scenario, we believe that further improvements in the global economy and confirmation of central banks loose policies should continue to be mildly supportive for risky assets, especially equities. Among equity markets, we still favor European Equity and select EM equities (China and India). However, we expect lower returns going ahead for all major asset classes and we are committed to a more defensive approach, as shown by our recent profit taking on European credit markets (including investment-grade). Our preference for risky assets is broadly confirmed, but this stance is conditional both on developments in our main scenario and on unexpected events. We believe that the base scenario of multiple transitions in the main economic regions is not particularly at risk, thanks to the US economy s sustainable contribution. The European economy looks still to be the weak link, but it is also returning, albeit slowly, to growth. For their part, the emerging markets should be able to manage their transitions towards more balanced growth. The main risks we are willing to hedge against are currently deflation in Europe and an abrupt change in US monetary policy (notably a premature tightening by the Fed amid evidence of rising inflation). Our base case is for the Fed to start a smooth tightening cycle during 2015 without sparking investor concerns, as the change will be seen as an overdue normalization. We have not endorsed the case for a permanent stagnation ( new normal ), though we expect the global economy to take a long time to regain the pace of growth that has followed past recessions. The risk of deflation in the Eurozone is worth monitoring, as consumer prices will continue to rise very slowly and the official annualized target of 2% will likely remain elusive for several years. Geopolitical risks are high on our list of potential worries in the short term, and we have implemented hedging for them. In the medium term, the main risk is related to the implementation of structural reforms both in developed and emerging markets, while for the long term we are watching carefully the debt burdens and increasing income inequalities that could pose some risks to financial stability. 8
